Ben Baxter is a black belt representing the Caio Terra Association and is one of OSS's first sponsored athletes! Ben is regarded as one of the top competitors in the United States, having medalled in important tournaments such as the Mundial (BJJ World Championships), the European Open, and the Pan American Championships. In the Pacific Northwest, Ben is one of the pioneers of our art and has one of the fastest-growing academies in the state of Oregon.

Ben initiated his career as a coach when he was a brown belt. After helping his good friend and former student James Puopolo open his academy in Salem, Oregon, Ben decided it was time to open his own in 2011. Today Ben's gym, Performance Martial Arts Academy, is one of Oregon's premier academies.
